Default TH350, removing, stator support selective,s replace with needle bearing

question , for the more knowledgable than me ,

Im rebuilding a TH350 reverse shift trans brake trans for a friend

he broke 2nd last year at our local drags, just getting around to fixing it now, tore it apart today and found what i figured

split the intermediate race and blew up the rollar clutch-
going to order a

High Performance Drum with Sprag,36 element kit for it,
thats a given ,
heres the question , who ever did the trans before , removed the stator support selective washer and shim and replaced with a needle bearing assembly,
Is there a particular one to use as i have to replace it ,(it was damaged in the failure)
Thanks for the help

Exclamation Re: TH350, removing, stator support selective,s replace with needle bearing

the t-350 trans also came from GM with a torrington bearing on the back side of the stator . Replacement should be easy to find unless something real custom was done

A trans parts supplier NATPRO number is 44211

1979 and UP TH350's including lockups had a torrington bearing between the direct drum and the stator support.

if one of the candian suppliers (dont want border hassel) on here would be so kind as to PM me a price and avalibility on , it would be appreciated, then i can tell my bud what hes infor for $$ to fix

Thanks

How much power? Do you need one?

no there isnt enough power to actually "need one"
but with the drum and roller clutch and race grenaded

might as well put the good stuff in now and not have to really worry about it

from what i can see alot of other things have been done to this trans already , was suprised not to find atleast the hardened external race in it

got your PM , thanks Hutch , will wait for you to check tom ,

Put an HD race on a roller drum and call it a day.
