Default 55mm cam journal sizes

anyone know the diameter of the front or rear cam journal on a 55mm cam. i supposedly got a 55mm cam with my head package, and bought 55mm cam bearings on ebay, but the rollerbearing inside diameter is 1/8 (eyeball) bigger than my cam.
cam mikes 1.874 .

what engine...???

just how accurate is that 1.874" measurement. ???

a common small chevy cam core is 1.868
a common big chevy cam core is 1.948
ford smallblock is 2.020 to 2.080 thus are all different on the same
55 millimeter is ...2.165 or so.

dial verniers.
my brodix block has 2.249 front cam bore. spec sheet. according to the literature its for roller bearings.
would this be for a 55 mm bearing.
i would guess then the cam is standard chevy.

you aint measuring something accurately.

the resultant diamter of the housing bore in block depends on who makes the bearing.
some blocks have specific "retaining methods" to hold / position the roller bearing.
some use screws and some employ a pair of tru-arc type internal lockrings.
some have a oil feed hole, others do not.
you CANNOT install the needle/roller bearings with the common "hit with a hammer" type installers that are for a babbitt type full round insert...

there is no such thing as a "standard chevy" camshaft diameter that is also 55 mm diameter.
standard chevy is the size I posted in previous reply.. a 55 millimeter is DIFFERENT.

ok, back at work. checked my 1-2 mikes with standard. miked cam journals.
cam mikes 1.8746.
has anyone seen this size cam before. i see it doesnt match any stock sizes. this cam was supposedly used in a circle track engine.
and the block has snap ring grooves on each side of the cam bearing, to hold them in place.

after doing some research, ive found out that a 1.8745 cam journal size is for roller cam bearings. i didnt realize they made different size cams for roller bearings but i guess they do.
with the 2.2495 cam tunnel bore i either have to use the roller cam bearings or use ford babbit bearings with a 2.125 cam core.
i was hoping to get rid of the roller bearings and use babbit. some people say rollers cost you slight hp loss.
