Underneath in case near where right axle enters trans is a small pipe plug. remove plug engine running in PARK fill trans till fluid drips from level hole and reinstall plug. REAL FUN.

And the vehicle must be level. Basically you want to do this on a hoist or have fun crawling under a car on 4 jackstands.

After having owned one you can almost tell when the fluid is a bit low. They're quite sensitive to fluid level.

Thats not bad. I think its the Expedition, not sure what year but you need to fill it from the bottom and push the fliud up into a tube in the pan till it drips out around the tube. Fluid all over the place and you have to figure out when its dripping. Dumbest thing i've ever seen.
