The shootout series around my neck of the woods added a consolation race for the first round loosers that has raised interest quite a bit. Lots of slower guys that typically get ousted by the real fast cars can at least make some of their expenses back in the consolation race. It has added 6-8 cars to the number that were attending the shootout races earlier in the year.
