I love that 73-75 LeMans....That is so sick! My first car was a 75' Burgundy LeMans it was very nice. Sold it to my brother in-law who sold it to his brother who still has it. Kinda rough looking though...SO sad. That car was nice when I had it. First car I ever swapped engines in and built up.
That's why I got the 74' Monte Carlo now....Its turbo'd and runs high 13's at the moment while looking totally stock....With some tweaks I'm hoping for 10's while looking the same. I have a bigger turbo and lots of parts laying in wait.... Most people think my car is a 15 second car at best.

There are alot of tracks that don't care, I've seen plenty of cars down this way running 5.teens-4.90's that don't have chutes hell most don't have but a 10 point cage in them.

I see 25% real sleepers, and 75% cars with 4-6" cowl hoods that look f'n fast.

In the past, if I was running at a new track the car would not get that hard of a tech inspection. Then, after my first pass they yell at me looking for a license and making sure that all of the required equipment is there. At one race, the tech guy never looked under my hood and pulled on my stock seatbelts and said, "yup, you're good to go". ![]() These days I don't really mess with it and just run with the chute mounted from the start. It ruins the fun of the sleeper look a bit, but it is much smarter anyway. Most people think I just mounted the chute for looks until after the first pass.

Since its more street than track it only has a 6-point cage. He only runs at the monthly grudge night where the track doesn't care about safety equipment. |
