My feeling is that the banks will have so many repo's in several months that they'll have to unload them at pennies on the dollar...........YeemotherfuckingHaw, GO OBAMA!!!!!

So dealers don't have the cars on the lot, and they haven't been paid the money they need to replace them.

At some point, car sales are going to go down, because dealers don't have any inventory on the lot.

Meanwhile, the auto makers are starting to ramp up production, including running shifts on overtime. But who is going to buy the vehicles? Unless the dealers get their cash from the government, they aren't going to be able to put cars on the lot for the next round of Cash for Clunkers.

And so it will go.

Isn't this the same concept behind needing harmonic balancers?

I doubt there will be a increase in repo's related to the Clunker program. When I bought my car 3 weeks ago if you didnt have a 740 beacon you werent getting a loan. The days of buying a new car with a 550 beacon score are over.
