I can tell you this about the L88 Vette. They didn't make one. Reason I know; I know two folks that tried to buy one and they each recieved letter stating they were not going to do a production run. I did see one once, and later learned that the guy built it himself out of over the counter parts. This is just like the 1965 Nova with the 327-350HP engine option. They show it in the catalog, but it never went to production. But it did show up in 1966. Another one like that is the Ram Air V GTO as well as the other un-named one. But interestingly there was a bunch of dealers that got together and had a run of 396 Impalas built with two four barrels rated at 430hp. I've seen three or four of them setting on a couple dealer's lots.

Sounds to me more or less like the good ole boys got together and created their own car for their own class

Ford.......1927 roadster (1941 was the last good Furd)
plymouth.....1965 hemi car; second fasted car on the planet. But if I could just have one it would be a 343hp 1962 Fury
Merc......1951 chopped 3" and setting so low you gotta look up at man hole covers
Rambler (only I'd do this)....1969 superstock AMX they never made a Ford this fast
Chrysler......300F a muscle car before there ever was a term
Olds.....1957 J2
Pontiac......none
Buick.........1967 Riviera
Caddy........1957 Eldorado
Lincoln........four door convertable
glt
Good list. I'd take a ride in any of them!

chevy....1962 Bel Air 2dr hardtop with very late in the year Z-11 engine (over the parts counter) upgrade package w/ aluminum fenders. No, I don't mean the '63 Z-11.
dodge.... Just to be different; 1960, 383 with (2) AFB's & long individual tube ram induction. I've rode in 3 of these, damn they make a bunch of torque, squall tires from zero to 80 and the AFB's moan like a bitch. That car is a behemoth though.
Ford.......1932 coupe. Simply the one and only street rod to me.
Dodge.... 1962 w/ 413 wedge, short crossram & 2 AFB carbs.
plymouth.....1963 Stage-3 Wedge with aluminum frontend.
Merc......1964 Comet A/FX with medium rise 427 wedge. A real stout running piece in '64.
Rambler....1969 superstock AMX. Agreed; Wheel toting, short wheelbase little dude. Actually a lot of fun to drive and they ran pretty damn good too.
Chrysler......300F a muscle car before there ever was a term -Agreed. The first factory car that had 1hp per cubic inch.
Olds.....1957 J2 - Agreed. Believe the 2dr HT actually had a 3 piece rear window. There's a little design trivia for ya.
Pontiac......'62 Grand Prix with 405 horse 421. A good & clean looking car to me. Couldn't run with a 409 though.
Buick.........1967 Riviera - Agreed. Kinda' classic looking then and now.
Caddy........1959 The biggest friggin' tail fins ever put on a car, that's probably the only reason anyone remembers it. That thing is a tank!
Lincoln........four door convertable - Yep, with rear suicide doors.
