Default Awsome Engines 481 ci.SBF with a blower?

I just found this web site called Awsome Engine, and they have a 481 ci. SBF producing over 900 hp N/A with high compression. And you have a option to by it with custom blower/turbo pistons. I was curious if I were to buy that engine and put a Whipple 8.3l blower, how much HP would it make?

There is probably nothing left to be able to seal rings, the bore spacing on a sbf is to thin as it is and when you get in to a large bore like that you have no cylinder wall left!

Still has .250 @ 4.185 Bore, 4.380 bore spacing is only .020 shorter than SBC, its the crank that makes the ci 4.400 stroke is my second largest crank, we build the 4.185"x4.500 496"ci is a standard engine now. Bryant cranks are the standard also and no paper thin blocks! DART does not make anything paper thin 1500+hp is not a problem with supercharging, turbo or NOS

So does that mean I could do that combo and not worry about breaking anything? What HP numbers would I expect to see?

I can attest to Awesome Engines also. Bill did an 18* build for me a few years back and it was on target.....actually a little ahead of what I was really expecting.Still thought the dyno numbers might be a little happy, but they WERE NOT. I was happy and impressed. Very easy to deal with, and if he errors, it will be in your favor.

As for how the engine would look at a tear down, mine had the shit knocked out of it with nitrous,( as much as I had the balls to spray) all was fine, no issues and the rebuild was just a normal re-ring,bearings, hone job and check everything out.

The only reason I made the statement, too many times engine builders/shops get hammered, but this guy is pretty good at what he does and deserves the credit. Has a nice shop too.
