wow .063 to get a 3300lb ride in the sevens? I guess when people ask what a big tuneup is, it depends on what your motor and race program is.

im pretty sure if i had that same combo now i could get it to live but at that time i was pretty new at running multiple stages. looking back on it now what was killing pistons was we had each system a lil on the rich side thinking we were being safe lol. it was fine on 2 but 3 tad rich tune ups togather = way rich = crushed ringlands

i run 6pill spreads around 5psi in both my foggers right now which i have never done before this year and i am running less timing than i ever have and the motor is living longer for sure.after my grudge race i plan to add a 3rd fogger but not as big of a tune as you did..maybe a 30 or 32pill in all 3 kits .hoping for some 4.90's on 3 kits.

3 kits with 32's sound like a good and safe tune

Well, when you have a used up 525, conventional headed motor, with not the best heads and your class is limited to one system, you do what you have to do to run the number. 2800 lb/hr of nitrous is 2800lb, does not matter if it is 1, 2 or 3 kits. You would not think much if it had a couple .036 tunes in it, but this is basically the same difference, as far as the amount of nitrous goes. The guy that just said he had a .040 a .038 and a .030, that is about 4000 lb/hr of nitrous. Hell, just the first 2 are about 3000 lb/hr. That does not make my .063 tune seem big at all.

thanks,i plan to add the 3rd under the intake like that real soon...i bet i will have to get a neal chance converter to hold the power of 3 stages..your car worked extremely well to hold the big tunes you ran on 28's..did you have progressives?

yes, at the time we had 2 edelbrock progressives in kits 1 and 2, a neal chance converter is good and thats what we are running now ( because we got an excellent deal on it ) but when we were on NOS we had a cameron converter, if i remember right it was like $900, we even used this same converter when we put the 665 big duke motor in the car and it worked fine. we ran the same conv. for 3 years with no issues
