Hi John,
I was given your name from a few guys who say your the man! At some point, I'm needing a manifold for a Procharged Big Chief 14 degree. It will need to be short for hood clearance, but have room for two injectors per cylinder. I was told maybe able to use one fuel rail instead of two? pm me if you have a minute or two to discuss thanks Pat |

John, first of all, gorgeous work. I have to ask where you get your plenum size and runner taper numbers from, because I've had some pretty stuff that didn't run in the past. I have a customer that I'd like to direct to you, but the tech is more important to me than the fit and finish... which you are obviously sick talented at. I'd like to learn more about your view on things because I'd love to stick that kind of jewelry on the top of any project I work on... but like the carb business, anodized boosters and good cartridge roll work do NOT equal power. I'm not a skeptic of you, just a skeptic of anything in this industry.
Phenomenal finish work. Wow.

It's good that you think this way. I put more effort into the design of the manifold for the purpose of making power vs. how it looks, but most people comment more on the appearance. Which is fine because I do put alot of effort into making something that looks nice as well. A very successful racer once said to me if uglys fast you'll see me in the pits rubbing dirt on my car. For many years I primarily did port development on cylinder heads, those expirences and feed back from racers carries over to aid in the quest for a better intake manifold. Every manifold guy has general guidelines for factoring runner length for the RPM required. (math and racer feed back) There are many factors that determine what I do with the plenum volume, runner length, and port taper. RPM desired, cubic inch, and so on. Differences in car combinations such as number of gear changes and clutch vs. convertor will let you manipulate things such as the plenum volume and taper. I'm not going to spill my guts, there are many factors that determine what I feel is correct for the application. However, sad to say packaging in the car or dealing with a certain deck height sometimes compremises what you can do with the manifold. If you like, give me a call and we can discuss exactly what your customer is looking for. Thank-you John Marcella Marcella Manifolds ph.248-259-6696 |

Here's a big chevy manifold that got cut and modified to fit on an 11.2 deck block and shortened for clearance.
