I remember reading Ron had a heart attack on the return road at Sear Point back in the early 1990's. In his Super stock Camaro. His son ended up with the 57 and whereabouts unknown. The Hot Rod article,

Yup, still got the Hot Rod with the article in, still read it from time to time, great car.
Simply built, killer motor, would still draw a huge crowd today.

After 10 years of trying to find the car to purchase. I found out that one of his two sons ended up with the car. I offerd to purchase the car from him when I saw it at Brotherhood raceway. He did not want to sell it. Well about 10years went by and I talked to Ron Ameduri about locating the son so I can make him an other offer on it and I found out that the kid was busted having a dope lab and the car was taken and is now a part of the Ontario police dare program. It is now painted like a police car. My friend took a few pictures of it in police paint. I will try to post them.

Kindest regards,
Eric

Great a good car gone because of some loser drug addict. Fucker should have his nuts kicked in for that.

Yes, the car is painted like a police car with emergency lights on the top. Last time I saw the car was when Ron's son had it the car ran at the 3rd reopening of brotherhood (about 94) he had some ignition problems with it. The car was not running no where near what it used to running the best of a 10:70's or so with the problems fixed. The car still appeared to be in good shape considering the last time I saw it was in 83. The car also did not launch no where near like it used to I do remember Ron's son looking really scummy you could tell just by looking at him that this is a character you can't trust. And I am really suprised he turned down my offer it was a very generious offer.

Have you tried to buy it from the police ? You know they are going to sell it one day, probably to someone that has no clue about its history.
