Don Walsh Jr. is Getting Crazy!!! (How Many Power Adders Can Fit In One Car)

I stopped by Walsh Motorsports to drop off a CD full of images of Don's drag car. I always ask guy's what's going on and do you have anything interesting in the shop. Don had to call Michael Matarazzo for the OK to shoot his new Shelby GT 500. When I looked under the hood, I couldn't believe what I saw. Dave Brown (Whitey, formerly from Wheel to Wheel) had fabbed up a killer Precision turbo system to work in conjunction with the blown Ford GT motor. With that kinda power, they needed a Skinny Kid cage to keep the car from twisting when the power goes down. Mark Wilkerson (RaceCraft Suspension) provided the killer suspension. Don Jr. and his right hand man Justin Haddon put this all together. I'll be stopping by the shop for more updates in the near future. I can't wait to see Don put this on his Dyno Jet and get the big numbers they expect from this Bad Ass Shelby!

Very nice. Hope the intercooler/manifold isnt a restriction up top. Was it a body in white?

One of the better looking new body Mustangs I've seen. It seems like most guys have a hard time getting the tires UNDER the car. This one looks perfect.

It shouldn't be. Hellion made 1,188 rear wheel horsepower with a stock '03 Cobra engine (w/Eaton) and twins. I don't want to start into that whole big debate, but there have been plenty of cars that have proven the compound boost setups work.
