Default bbc cam numbers

got a herbert R274 cam, numbers look like this

@ .050 in 275
.050 ex 286

ivo 13
ivc 84
evo 54
evc 51

but this is whats stumping me, the cam is installed straight up and the intake centerline is 124!!! is this normal? what should it be for a na type performance engine? To shift this number down, do i need the retard or advance the cam install?

the donk is 468 bbc, protopline heads 1.7 rockers, 11.2:1 comp

cheers

derek

Something looks very wrong with those numbers. At what lift are those valve opening and closing numbers? For comparison look at this comp Cam card which has a similar duration @ .050 lift

they are at .050". the lobe centre is 108 as well. I installed it with the timing chain in the neutral position, it looks to me like it's massively retarded...
