Joaquim de Almeida has to be in the top ten. The guy plays the villain role very well. He is one of my favorites. Who do you think play a good villain?
#1. Christopher Walkin in anything where he plays an ambiguously bad guy. I love how he is bad, but at the same time, you aren't sure. You can't tell if he is coming or going, bad or good.
#2. Denzel Washington in Safehouse and Training Day
Lots of other good ones listed, Denzel, the guy above from No Country and Danial Day Lewis as The Butcher. I really dig Christopher walken, he's fuckin great in everything he does.
He was a good villian in Balls of Fury and The Rundown, a villian with comic relief.
Lots of good one mentioned already.
I thought Robin Williams was excellent at playing a creepy nut case in Insomnia, and One Hour Photo.
