Cool RDP

Well I am pleased to tell everyone that RDP located at Kippa Ring Redcliffe is now owned my Lee Bloom. Now called (Real Dyno Performance)

He is an awesome guy, does an awesome job at tuning my BF F6 Typhoon. I have 432rwhp and run 11.8sec 1/4 mile @ 122mph.

He was also the first to break into 10sec in a FG which he did at willowbank last wednesday. 10.99 in a FG XR6T

If anyone wants to know more you can ring Lee on

Good to see you had good results silvervt.

A friend of mine got some work done by RDP (loooong before it was sold) to his circuit race car. It ran great and he was very happy with it - as you were. Then, inexplicably, it started blowing head gaskets. We couldnt work out why... at first we thought it was inadequate cooling under race conditions but that was not the case.

Turns out old mate Floggy (short for Flog-On, which might be better known to you as 'Jerk-Off') had regraphed the distributor wrong, and it was advancing way too much and way too fast.

Of course then came the excuses... 'my dizzy graphing machine was broken so I had to subcontract it out' - sorry floggy, you're responsible for subcontractor work. More excuses and the usual temper tantrums.

F6Typhoon... good to see another Typhoon owner. I feel for you having to do his PC work as I had personally see him have a meltdown when the shitbox el cheapo PC he was trying to run his Dyno with shat itself. I was going to offer to help (being an experienced Network & Systems Engineer), but after the huge fucking infantile rant - a significant proportion of which was directed at his missus for no aparent reason (God she deserves a medal for putting up with that shit for so long), I decided against it.

Speaking of turbo falcon there's a XR6 ute RDP converted to turbo. I came across it while getting my 'phoon tuned at a reputable Gold Coast tuner. I didnt speak to the owner directly, but when I saw all the RDP logos on the engine bay stuff, I was compelled to make the smartarse remark to the tuners there 'so.... fixing RDP's mistakes eh?' I was then treated to a half hour display of what about $35k gets you.... a supposedly new reco (standard XR6T) turbo... that has pits in the blades and more shaft play than a porn star. 'NEW' injectors that are just drilled out stockies. a catalog of useless silicon shit that didnt need to be there. The standard auto chucked in favour of a C4? Wtf? The thing ran like a bag... when it started at all. From what I am told it drove (poorly) from RDP to the owners house and never started again. The guys ended up redoing the whole thing from scratch and it only cost $12k.

Then there was another guy in my car club, he was going to go to RDP to get his BF GT tuned. He was told he'd need twin turbos to get 350rwkw out of it. What a load of shit. I told him to go see my guys, but it so happened on the club run we were on another member broke a diff. His mate - a local tyre dealer in the area - did him a favour and came out to tow it on his awesome trailer normally reserved for his race car. Long story short it turns out this guy had a supercharged BF Falcon (5.4 litre quad cam for the non Aussies) turning about 700-800rwhp. He mentioned how he was going down the coast to get it tuned at the same place I go to, I nudged my club-mate and said there ya go they do good stuff. Old mate says 'yeah, going to them now after RDP blew up THREE of my engines'. Nuff said I reckon.

A few more tales of woe to add to the pile.

I've known (of) Steve since 1998 and even had my car tuned there once. Even back then, when I told the guys that built my engine that I'd taken it there, they'd say 'oh yeah flog-on, we know him, be careful' - so its not like this reputation is new. I even know guys that have worked at RDP under some pretty ordinary work conditions, and they have little nice to say about the experience.

One thing I have to give credit for, is the use of publicity. No one has worked the media and internet as much as he, and it worked well for him. It gave plenty of 'logs' for him to burn on his RDP fire, and when he ran out of wood, he went to one of the biggest forests on the planet, where I guess he'll never run out. But, its been said before, not to many 'trees' here exercise their right to weaponary as they do over there. One thing I said (and I see its been said here too) when I found out Steve was moving to the US is 'hope he doesnt do what he did here, or someone's gonna cap his ass'. Now dont get me wrong, I couldnt care less about him, but his family dont deserve the potential dangers.

Then again, maybe its a 'turn over a new leaf' time and he's going legit, if so, great - but dont pretend you didnt step on a lot of innocent people to get there.

To scornedwoman, I sympathise with your plight. Its a terrible thing to happen to a family. As a father of a bright young boy myself, I cannot possibly fathom what could lead someone to do such a thing. Family ALWAYS must come first.

Cheers
HIPWRED thanks for that, so many people coming out telling their stories. like you i have witnessed one of steves hissy fits and its damn scary, and gill does not deserve the shit she puts up. Bull has finally left steves clutches as far as living in his own place (albeit with his new girlfriend) and now is only working with him, but at the end of the day it doesnt matter, Bull is 12000 miles from his kids and nothing will ever make up for that, nothing in this world. they will always remember that their dad took off to the states and wanted to his live his own life and damn the consequences, and Im sure I will get yet another nasty email for writing this. the kids and I are doing our best to start over without a dad and without the husband I trusted and loved for 20 years, yes 20 years . So thank you to all those that have supported us and sent their best wishes.

Q: What do RDP USA and the sandwich bar in Fast&Furious 1 have in common?
A: Nobody likes the tuner there

I WOULD LIKE TO SHARE MY EXCEEDINGLY POSITIVE EXPERIENCE WITH RDP USA HEREIN. I had a cold air intake, dynotune, and cat back exhaust system put on my car in early June and in my 40+ years of owning high performance cars and motorcycles have never had as much fun driving a vehicle as I do now. I have not had any issues with my vehicle (only phenomenal performance) and the owner Steve even calls periodically to ensure I continue to be pleased with the outcome. Their facilities were well presented and the workmanship exceptional - I think anyone having any doubt should simply visit the facility. I have already referred a number of potential customers to the business without hesitation, one of whom has already had a dyno pull on his Harley and was thrilled with the results. Upon reading this forum, I initially had hoped it was inhabited by car enthusiasts so that I may share my experience, but rather it appears it is a grudge session. I can only hope that my post will reassure those considering the services of RDP USA that these gentlemen were consummate, credible professionals. In Ohio where I am located, it is an upscale suburb of Cleveland and the consumers here are knowledgeable business people and car hobbyists. I'm not sure if this is a teenage forum that I happened upon accidentally, but the sophomoric obscenities and bashing contained herein is not typical of car forums to which I'm accustomed. In the US amongst high profile business professionals and collegiate members of the community, we simply speak of our passion for cars and positive experiences - I'm disappointed that this forum was the exact opposite (but fortunately in the US we easily recognize untenable forums and the intent of same). I applaud RDP USA and have no doubt they will continue the exceptional work. We sincerely appreciate the business you've brought to our community RDP - I wish everyone there the best of luck and will most definitely be patronizing the establishment again in the future. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND RDP USA TO ANY CAR ENTHUSIAST, and I do not make recommendations based on anything but factual and personal experience. I sincerely believe the growing success of the business will only negate and discredit the comments on this forum. Best regards to all.
Hello, Flogger!

There have been two users post lavish praise for Flogger on this thread and both have used dialect that is not native to any part of the US. This guy and the other are obviously put up to their false praise by Flogger or his minions.

Don't worry, champ. There have been countless other scammers operating in this country and most are still in business. It seems there are too many people who lack the common sense to recognize that when there are this many people after your hide, you have earned it.

I worked for a shithead just like you and he's on this forum years later, pushing his company. You better learn how to use that weapon and you better carry it always. There are plenty of people here who will track you down for the shit you pulled in OZ.

I have lived in the US my entire 35 years and have traveled to almost every state in the union. Never have I encountered anybody who uses the dialect that silvervt and murraymike83 use. I can give specific examples of word usages in those three posts that you will absolutely not see an American use.

Hasn't Floggy used this same technique before?

Odd that he would move from Australia and wind up in Ohio. It would be difficult to pick a worse state to open a new shop.

Actually I take back what I said about silvervt. He had a catback and cold air intake installed, which any high school auto class student could do. With such little experience, he would be unlikely to know the difference between good work and shoddy work, and it would be difficult for a hack like Floggy to screw up such a simple install. As for the dyno tune... odd that those two changes would require it.

His word usage is unusual for a gearhead, but he's obviously not a gearhead. And he's still a proud republican after the ass fucking they have given us over the last 30 years. You can draw your own conclusions from that.

dont look too deep into it, floggy has those that defend him to the death even when hes screwed them over royally. floggy is what floggy does, a manipulative mind bending waste of space.
