two words bob.....clutch cannon. Two more....more weight.
Hey on those plates. I flip my blue steels on a wide belt sander to make sure they're flat and re-use em. I use a bead blaster to briefly touch up the frictions and it works great. I usually set up 6 clutch packs for each event and swap between rounds. (yeah...I'm an optimist)
I tried using the slider setup on a gas bike and it was a booger. Getting it to allow the motor to engage up in the rpm band where you want it was way tougher than on the nitro bikes. I still think its a good idea though.
You might give bob grimes a shout. He tried using one I think, with a B & J three speed on his blown alcohol bike.
I would think a turbo with a slider will be tough combo to get boost on launch. All my friends with turbos run a two step and a lock up clutch. If you can get the ignition to retard while on the two step it will build more boost.
