Youd be better off developing a new screw. The blowers are the limit, not the engines. Screws have not changed since the 1980's and they come out w new turbo technology all the time.

^^ this is what the turbo guys dont seem to get, nhra etc have been slowing down the top classes especially Top Fuel etc since the 70s hell now they have even resorted to shortening the track to keep the speeds down without changing the formula all together! Screw blower major developement stopped when they brang in the PSI blower limits for overdrive on there c and d blowers and pretty much took the whipples out of the equation so PSI have only improved on the same basic design/size. It wouldnt have been nice and/or safe to limit top fuel only and then have the top alcohol classes on there tails performance wise with run-away rules would it now!
The Noonan deal should let everything rev harder which gets the blower spinning faster and more power within the rules though !

IPM: Will you be offering a turbo version as well?

JN: "Yes. The turbo version will be offered in the NHRA legal small valve and the big valve outlaw stuff as well. The manifold is obviously different. We're actually making a couple of engines now for a couple of heavy hitters that are going to switch to this engine. We are building six complete motors for them at the shop now. We hope to see them on the track in the next four to eight weeks."

end Qupte

Wow! Interesting: Now the big question is: Who of the turbo guys is using noonan? legal and outlaw?

arrrgh, we have already enough blowers. c'mon guys switch to the coolest, best, most cutting edge pa there is: a turbo.
With a turbo you also have much more fun on the backhalf...
Finally, too much light is unhealthy ya know

First spy pictures out said it was going to be a 10.5 car so I didn't post it up under new cars. That must've been Billy throwing people off the trail! LOL
