Heard some rumors the C7 body suffers from poor down track handling, is it true? I think it looks better than the new Camaro body.

Personally, I think they lack enough surface for good downforce for the turbo cars. The number of wrecks we've seen there is spooky. As told to me, one of the top 1/4 nitrous cars had to have significant modifications done to the C7 front end because it was unfavorable. Also heard from a friend of Janis that he thinks the new Camaro bodies have the best aero out there after what I'm guessing was some possible tunnel testing but I'm speculating on that. (Rickie Smith's obvious love for them I'd say is proof too.) I think the C7 is better than the 68-69 Camaro bodies but not as good as the '16 and newer Camaro bodies. I think results may also depend on whether you're running 1/8 mile or 1/4.

I don't remember all the details, but yes, a top NHRA nitrous car that runs the C7 had to do some significant body and chassis changes due to the body creating too MUCH downforce. I had heard they had so much downforce that the front end was rubbing the track from 1000ft-on.

The Bickel '17 Camaro (like Trickies) was originally designed for Pro Stock and had a lot of wind-tunnel time compared to the others like the body RJ uses (Shadow 2.0)

The '69 Bickel Camaro is a great body. I can personally vouch for a particular tractor-puller-powered turbo car running ZERO or near-zero rear wicker due to the rear being compressed a TON. This car routinely runs at or near the top for turbo car MPH. You'll also find the 1/8th mile PX and PN guys that run this body with zero wicker.

Regardless, variety is the spice of life. Love all the different bodies in PM
