doing a 70 nova and am stretching wheel wells.was wanting to know if any body has cal-tracs with a 315/60/15 drag radials and how fast have they been & maybe some pictures. If any body can help it would be appreciated. thanks
I have a 72 camaro and have gone 7.56 on 275/60/15. I will be trying the 295/65/15 this year. I cant fit the 315 because the car is still stock suspension. I use cal-tracs bars and split monoleafs...
Wild 72 Thanks for the info. What kind of 60's where you running before the DA and did you see any improvement with them. I am no where in your class but I am trying to find out what kind of consistent 60's are possible with this set-up.
The is real consistant. It would go low 1.31-.33 all day long. At a good track we have gone 1.27-1.29 all weekend long. I dont know how much the DA helped. But the good thing with the DA is that you have some sort of adjustment when track conditions are difficult.
Yes we have, It ran good with the small block,(low 8s). When we turned up the F-2 I hurt the small block. Got real good deal on the big block so I never looked back!:-D
I run a 295 radial on my 68 with Caltracs. Best 60' has been a 1.22...been plenty of 23's 24's. Low 1.30's on OK tracks. Stock wheel opening mini tubbed. I'm not as fast as these other guys (8.30's) Here is a pic
Best so far on 295 is 1.30 but I have a feeling if I keep the nose down it will do alot better. Like others, the s10 wont fit the 315 in the stock fenderwell opening.
Have you seen the latest Chevy High Performance mag? There's a feature on it.
