How quickly after firing up a new motor are you guys changing over to brad Penn
Just curious seeing how it is partially synthetic
I have heard that it can go in pretty soon unlike full synthetics?
Fully synthetic or semi synthetic don't matter when you use them.
Most big dollar performance cars have synthetic oils in the engine from day 1.
The word "Semi synthetic" can be misleading.
Semi synthetics are just high end group 2 base stock oils mixed with a group 3 base stock, with a fancy name.
Some oils that are called full synthetics are made using group 3 base stocks.
Other full synthetics are made from pure group 4 PAO base stocks.
What about the issue of seating the rings shouldn't you wait a certain amount of time if possible before.using synthetic
Royal purple for example recommends making sure .the rings are fully seated before using their oil
Currently, my hemi is full of Mobil One synthetic...what I've always run in it.
My wedge motor has Rotella in it. My dad's 6 pack 440 has Valvoline VR1 in it.
All 3 are in perfectly good condition, lol.
I run dyno lube in dyno, straight to synthetic after dyno time. Sheer strength is far superior with Royal Purple of some of the other hy grade race synthetics.
