Anybody ever get a set of lifters that were mounted on the link bar, reverse from what they were suppose to be ? Only 1 set has the int and exh in the wrong place...Think i will have to send them back or will they send me just 1 set??
Thats what i first looked at when i took them out of the box, and held them up...They wont flip! This 1 set only ' Turns 1/2 turn and no more...If u turn int or exh lifter, it turns up just a 1/2 turn , like it has something keeping it from turning all the way around...
Was told to take a rubber mallet and hit each lifter 1 good lick...Casting flash i guess..I did that and a small amount of metal came out , now they move freely both directions...Cleaned them up good & in they go....
From what i could tell up close...was a raised thin line all the way across the link bar...When i hit the lifter' must have knocked that off...I sent them a email last night, sure enough''' They called me back first thing this morning...Thats service with a smile...
If you measure them in a couple places I would be willing to bet that you send them back, I would also be willing to bet that you have upwards of .003 or more lifter to bore clearance using those lifters.
I looked at them real close...It looked like it was just a straight line across the link bar, casting flash...Its gone and lifters swing freely....
