I will throw this out there: 255-263 .612-.630 110. I had UDHarold grind me one several years ago for a similar combo and it ran HARD. I sold it to a buddy that put it in a 468 with taxi-cab compression and it still runs like gangbusters. It will need some converter though..

Part# M74337-76333x-108
243/247 @.050"
.337"/.333" Lobe Lift
108 LSA

You'll need our "Centra-Lube" lifters with this cam.
I'd also recommend running a spring with 140" on the seat, and 340-350 over the nose.

This is an off of the shelf Crane grind #131111 that would work well for you

280/288 @.020"
244/252 @.050"
152/160 @.200"
.587"/.608" lift with stock rockers
108 LSA
103 ICL

The 131111 is an excellent grind and will produce an awesome street car and its gonna rev up fast for you, which is perfect for your 427. That camshaft is $245.99 @ Jeg's but I'm sure we can help you out a bit

My thought is that you're settling for 20 less HP for a $50 savings.

The .020" duration on that cam is 276/284
The cam I suggested is 270/277 @.020"

I doubt it would be that much, that grind is done by Harold Brookshire

OP, don't let the seat duration numbers fool you on that Crane cam. From .020" to .050" opening rate is 15* and the closing rate from .050" to .020" is 21*, these lobes were designed to be aggressive on the opening side to fill the cylinders but gentle on the closing side for overall valvetrain life. If you are wanting more of a strip grind camshaft here is a custom grind:

267/275 @.020"
242/250 @.050"
154/162 @.200"
.609"/.634" lift w/1.7 rockers
107 LSA
104 ICL

And that's why you're not a cam expert.
Any expert would look at the .026"/.030" lash, and know what an under area'd POS that cam is.

It really depends on how well the heads flow. I'll look over some flow charts on Monday, and PM you with the power range you'd be in.
