Default Tippman A5 paintball gun

Just bought one brand new. It blows like every fifth ball up in the barrel. What am I doing wrong. Is this a good gun for a paintball rookie???

Freezing paintballs actually makes them more brittle.

To the OP try breaking down the marker and clean everything then relube all the o rings and the parts that rub. Should fix yor problem, also make sure you're not over 300fps and your not pushing too much air threw the gun.

I use to belong on a team. I would return it, get a spider. There a good best bang for your buck marker.

Do not exchange it for a Spider.. this is coming from a guy with 4+ years of tournament experience and i use to sell the things. A majority of Spiders we sold developed problems within a month or two.

The A5 is a good gun, but they have occasionally have problems with the Cyclone Feed System being too rough on the paitballs. If anything, get it checked out by your local pro shop and have them look at it, try a few different types of paintballs, and play with the pressure guage on the side of the gun.

If you get anything else, look at a Proto Rail, Eclipse Etha, or Dangerous Power E1 or G4. They are all solid and pretty easy to maintain.

Tippmann guns are awesome. I use a 98 custom with reponse trigger, cyclone feed, and a 14" stiffi carbon fiber barrel. On the a5's, check out the apex barrel or the flatline barrel. As far as breaking balls, how old are they, what speed are shooting and what type of balls are they? I would never shoot the walmart paintballs, they just dont bust. We shot through a carboard box with the gun set at 270 fps, that shit was unreal
