Default MLS head gasket question??????????

I'm putting some Cometic MLS head gaskets on my sbf. Should I put them on dry or would a light coat of copper spray be good to use?? Waiting on someone's response while I sit here in the garage.....

Please and thank you...

Copper spray....unless its a fresh build with the proper RMS surface for the MLS gasket you're using.

It's a new motor and the block surface is fresh and correct but I'm using used AFR heads. I love this place for the quick responses, but each response is mixed. Guess I will wait a few more mi.tues for more responses and just go with the majority...

I always hit em with Copper Coat along with adding 2 GM sealant tabs (Ground to Powder)

When filling the cooling system.

be certain that the RIVET does not hold the gasket from being clamped down as flat as possible...

oftentimes we have to smash the rivet before installation or on some blocks / heads, a little die grinder detail work is needed to gain clearance....

When you say take them apart, do you mean you remove the rivets, clean them, spray all of them, and then reuse them?? Just curious for future knowledge.. Not that I hope to take this motor apart to soon..... LOL
