Default 10.00 index was wondering how many of you guys on radials ?? building a car for class

curious on if ya guys were running radials or slicks in this class , building an engine to run my car in this class...

the 10.00 index makes the class a lot more affordable for me than x275 ..8.50 index ect ....... im gonna travel from ma ....may hit one race at end of year

I run 10.0 mostly at Atco and Cecil, but I use a 275/60-15 radial. Track prep is always good at these events and a radial works great.

Most guys are running slick, a couple of us run the drag radial. I run the radial and once I figured out the setup with it I've had no problem hooking. I would never go back to a slick.

I think the prep for the index races is always pretty good. My buddy runs drag radials in the 8.50 and always hooks well.

problem is i have never used a radial before , i have strange 10 ways in the back stock location coild springs that are small diameter 2 5/8 wolfe that adjust height and qa1 175# coilovers in front , bbf glide on motor with baseline upper suspenions so its stock style ............. i like the idea of the radial i just have no idea were to start , this car is in the stages of being finished so its not a proven slick combo either

wHAT KIND OF CAR IS IT?? Mustang?

As far as prep goes, you should be able to adapt to the conditions, tune your car/suspension. I ALWAYS run radials and yes sometimes its hard to goe 8.50's consistent, but in a 10.0 car i would not hesitate to use th radial. JUST be prepared to tune your car....I went to a heads up race in KY last year....and won it because i got down the track every time....ON A RADIAL...and the track was no where near the quality of prep that E town has
IF 275 cars can go 4.70's then come on, you can do it (and i dont mean that derogatory towards you, just pointing out it is do-able)
