Default 8.8 upper control mounts

have anybody heard of moving upper control arm mounts on 8.8 rearend. was loking close to a picture i took of a MO MONEY racing SN95 car they have the upper mounts welded to the side of the factrory, on the axel tubes. what the purpose and is it hard to do. Any detaild pictures?

Are you talking about something similar to the team z relocated uppers?

The '03-newer Crown Vic 8.8 rears have upper links that are mounted to the axle tubes, parallel 4 link instead of triangulated, but they use a nose mounted watts link to center the rear in the car.
