Looks like you have some very nice stuff hidden under that sleeper. Does it actually stall 5000 rpm? Will it run down the track on the motor?

It runs down the track on motor to a 6.35 with 5* for .15 out of the box launched at 3500 rpm's. Converter hump is at 5000 rpm's.

If we paint the car it's just another painted car at the track. We call it Frankin Nova. All the goodies are under the skin.....

Appears to barely make it down on the motor alone!! Don't paint it either.

Hutch
Hence the questions!
I'm looking at everything that might help. A gear change might help alot.... New shock for the back, retardd the cam, put more waight in the back, have the converter worked on, and on and on and on......

I would really focus on rear suspension , check for binding , check driveshaft length and make sure the yoke slides free on the splines, get a good set of rear shocks for sure , they are very important.

Everthing is good. Except the shock.

did you check front suspension? Calvert recommends a min 5 inches of front suspension separation. Just something you may want to look at also, because they told me that the front suspension is just as important and has to be right also. You may wanna contact caltrac and talk to Travis or John.

Yep, front end is good. 5" of travel and it has QA1 R shock on it. The gear and the rear shock is what I'm changing, I talked to Marty Chance And his sugestion was change to a 3.70 gear and make sure I have a good DA shock on the back.
