Tried a welding forum and got zero so thoufght i'd ask the experts. 5/16 flat plate t-weld sanded clean wiped with acetone about 5 seconds into the weld the material spit out a couple of small pieces of material and welded my tungsten to the collet body and cup ended up throwing them away due to damage. Never seen this before it wasn't dirty scrap went and got 2 more pieces from a different batch and wham perfect. WTF!! Oh yeah carbon steel.
