Default Tire thoughts 18" DR for the street

So I recently acquired a Shelby GT500 it has 18 x 10 rear rims with stock GY F1s on them. No way they will work well with 850 to the tire, so I'm gonna get some DRs, trouble is in available sizes.

The only MTs that spec's for a 10" wide rim is the 305/35 @ 26.4" and the 345/45 @ 28.8". The car has 3.73s on it.

The P345/35R18 would be perfect at a 27.5" diameter, but they are spec'd for a 11-13" rim, frankly I think they are just too wide to use.

So I'm a little stumped as to what to use. I'd like to get the new skins ASAP and the local speed shop has the 305/35 and the 345/35 in stock. They have a set of the 305/45 in a second store that is not too far.

If anyone acutally has a 305/45/18 have you measured it? Is the 28.8" that MT says accurate?

any thoughts are welcome.
