Pretty bad, i built some nice solid pushbars from my trucks in the past, but not for the intent to run them down, just to make sure if one jumped out on me in my travels, and couldn't avoid the hit, i wouldn't lose a radiator and i could get home safe. But this guy is aiming for them and trashing the meat and the antlers, Nothing worth saving, Just a Waste.

I don't care if you hunt or not, ( and i do) this is just WRONG..

There should be a flood of letters or e-mails to the state Game Commision with this video attached.. I would love to hear their response..

The guy that made the video's... can't possibly be doing this legally.

As a hunter, I have no problem killing deer if you're going to EAT it, or at least give it to people that will. Doing what he's doing can't be legal, and if it is Illinois has a serious loophole/problem.

I don't think what he's doing is right either. Hunting season needs to be opened up to a longer period for sure... the deer herd throughout the entire country is generally getting a little large.

I'm S/W Burbs of Chicago.. a block and a half from Cook county forest preserves, we have plenty of Deer, fox's, coyotes, Raccoons,Rabbits, ect,ect ... there is no hunting aloud in this area, Zero... so we do get years where deer population gets nuts and there is lots of vehicle VS deer accidents and in few cases people were badly injured or died from it ... every few years i hear county is going to bring in expert bow hunters to cull the heard .. but best i know that has never happened..

for some reason i cant get vid's to play from home.. so i will try from work.. and if it's as bad as you all say i will forward to my area's DnR... Just so they are aware..

I am not for this at all; but how would it be illegal to drive down the road and hit a deer if he crosses in front of you? I guess maybe it he is swirving to hit the animal it could be considered hunting (some how). I think if I lived somewhere you could hit 300 deer a year I would definately put a serious bumber on front of my truck. I would never try to hit them intentionaly though.

I'm a hunter and enjoy the outdoors, hit a deer a few years ago with my truck that was unavoidable. But this guy is a sick bastard. There is nothing sane about trying to run down deer on the road. Hopefully he faces some authority regarding his disgusting actions....

I would encourage people to contact the Illinois DNR to let them know that fair chase hunters are disgusted to see this going on. Here is the email address for the law enforcement division of the Illinois DNR:
