I assure you it is not. I live in San Diego, I have 3 kids and work in finance. I do not own or work in any shops related to the automotive industry. I just finished my car after 4 years and Tom was a big help throughout the process. I merely heard he was taking some flack and thought I would share my experience with him and his shop.

My experience with contacting NRE , I've found email responses to take a bit longer but I have been able to speak with Larry I believe via phone. Does anyone have any real info on the NRE mirror image turbos? Like a compressor map? I'm looking at the 88's and about to pull a trigger .

Hi, i'm trying to find some timeslips or even dyno results from NRE engines that aren't from the actual NRE channel or their dyno? Can anyone help me?

I am really sorry for you guys that have problems with NRE. I would tear my hair out if I would have to loose entire season because of that, not mentioning few seasons. On the other hand, I'm happy that I've read entire topic. Was just planning to order 632/572 from NRE - THANK GOD that I didn't. I wrote a long email with a lot of questions to NRE regarding different options for the engine, starting from displacement, to carb selection, efi, boost level - etc. The reply I got was quite weird ( from Mr Larry Sr ) :

"that motor with what you need would run between $30,000.00 and $38,000.00 depending on whether you wanted carburetors or fuel injections and you will be able to change the pulleys to change the boost for racing or street driving"

No hi, thank you for contacting us. No info beside the price, nothing. Not even signature at the bottom. This is pure stone age of PR and customer service. How can they reply in a manner like that to a posibile future customer. maybe I did not want to get $60K top of the line rig, but $30K ain't chip change either. After that email I got onto google looking for any kind of references - and here I am.

Big thanks to guys that started that topic, that kind of info is golden.

Just a little sidetopic ( excuse me for doing that ) : Are guys from Precision Race Engines ok for a engine builder shop ?

I watched NRE vids in YouTube. Nelson appears to be an arrogant west coast punk. I wouldn't waste a dime of my money with his sorryass attitude shop. When the rubber meets the road as a businessman the customer always comes first. This douchebag wasn't busy enough to hack the guys down payment from him but he's to busy to answer the phone or return an email. I would have already been paying him a visit.

Waiting for track times. Odd these engines are so bad ass and so many people buy them but there are no track vids.

Wow I just came across this thread. What a fucking shit show! I hope everything gets worked out for everybody. I know Steve Morris Racing Engines and Proline Racing Engines have stellar reputations. If some one was looking for a top caliber piece...I would talk to either or both of these companies.
