The guy who trained and organized the drivers in this demonstration

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SbuDRA4zNbw

has been one of the standout drivers in A/S. John Heinricy won the Runoffs (national championship) several times in a Firebird. Being a GM suspension engineer and test driver with more laps on the Mid-Ohio track than anybody else racing there could have been an advantage.

Ran it for five years at Waterford Hills and Mid-Ohio. I ran a Mustang Fox Body like the one that won the National Championship last year with Ed Hosni driving. A-Sedan had one of the higher average car counts per race of all SCCA classes last year. Andy M is the guy to beat pretty much every year. The guy is just plain fast and has some wicked HP from Felice Race Engines.

I would start with asking questions on the asedan.net forum. Very knowledgeable racers and there is a member who is on the AS Adhoc Committee who meeets with the SCCA regularly on rules and regs. The SCCA site does have the General Competition Rules (GCR) for all classes.

I have been on A/S crews since 2000...lots of changes over the years, some gray areas. What's your question? Shoot me a PM if you want to.

Andy Mc is very fast. He runs every lap like it's the last one...balls out! Fun to watch. Same goes for Tom Sloe...
