Default AOD Mod trans

OK i have a 47 ford with a 4.6l mod motor i am looking for a trans that will bolt directly to the mod motor with overdrive , a trans that dosen't need any electronics .

I need to know what year and make to look for.

full manual valvebody 4r70w, will bolt right up. you can buy a predone valveody, and they are available for many years, crown vic and mustang 2000 and up would be my first choice for a core.

So if i put a man. valve body in a 4r79w trans this will eliminate all the electronics that tha trans uses correct me if i'm wrong

yes, eliminates the electronics, you will need to add a switch for OD and lockup functions.
