While I agree that its possible RB hired Jim Geese without knowing the full extent of his business dealings, I sincerely doubt he isint fully aware of the situation by now. Why would Jim Gesse owner of Vanishing Point all of a sudden show up in Georgia with all of his belongings and ask RB for a Job. You dont think RB looked into this? Cmon now . Since you like to ask questions, Let me ask you this. David Hance, Why hasnt RB or Jim Geese stepped up to the plate and man up with OUR FELLOW racers that were screwed out of hundreds of thousands of dollars? We all make mistakes in life but its what you do after the mistakes that matter most.

1st....I thank you for laying it out in the respectful manner in which you have...

2) I personally believe Roger hired Jim before things blew up...no I ask you guys...if you hired a guy and he said guy was very good at his job then you discovered this employee has un-resolved issues from recent past what would you do ?? If you get 10 guys in a room you might get 7 different course of actions. The only FACT we know here is Roger himself did not harm anyone and cannot / should not be held responsible for the actions of others. Roger has no legal or moral obligation to pay off the depts of any employee.

3) Why hasn't Jim Geese made things right with his customers you ask ?? I cannot answer that question as I don't have that info. I hope and pray at some point somehow our brothers who are out money get taken care of....I have and will continue to work on getting something worked out and can't/won't make any promises.

4) I applaud your last statement and I agree with you 10000%....if you screw up, step up too the plate then do your best to make it right no matter how long it takes.

Graham I believe this website has been great for our sport for many reasons. Thanks to this website many companies will think twice before screwing anybody....although people will still get screwed I believe the incidents of such have been reduced a bunch. Frauds and cheats should be exposed....however the site should not be abused by people making allegations against others without posting their name and proper evidence of allegations.

I see this as a very simple issue...If you dont like RB because of something he has done to you, then post those feelings...If you have an issue with RB because he hired someone that you feel or heard screwed someone other than yourself, you should probably refrain from bashing the guy...Sounds simple to me.

How can Jim ever regain his credibility? I hope he asks himself this everyday because without it you are nothing. As Graham pointed out things tavel quickly and YB has been a great tool to help racers communicate and get problems resolved. Can you imagine if Roger has this conversation with Jim.

Roger to Jim, I understand you had some business dealings go bad and things went south quickly. What can we do to right these wrongs and
help get things back on track? I was thinking I could offer you the use of my shop and equiptment ( on your time ofcourse ) to help get this
resolved. I cant see this happening but it would be incredible if it did. Can you imagine the support R2B2 would get in return? It would be 10 fold.

Hey Dave did you happen to look at the Yellow Bullet site......It is full of porn and people showing pictures of their mother naked while blowing a horse and now you want people to be nice....hahaha

I luv Yellow Bullet it has less racing news then it has porn, cursing, and fighting then any site I have seen.

Yes I have looked at the site...have you looked at the Pro Mod Forum rules ? The Pro Mod forum would prefer not to have profanity and personal attacks....perhaps one day another moderator will be ok with such. Trash or be trashed is where you saw the stuff you mentioned.

My question is, he complains about losing HP and being a 1/10th behind now. Yet the turbo cars have what? 8-10mph on the blower cars, and MPH is STRICTLY HP... So if he could make the cars WORK like a blower car in the half track, he wouldn't be complaining. However, he knows HP doesn't win races(and neither does his poor driving ability) so he has to complain about the rules..

I kinda have to agree and I think anyone watching PM last year saw this coming.

On a typical run the nitrous cars for example would give it a good haul to half track then WOOOOOSH.... the R2B2 cars sail away on their own.

Every time I watched it happen I couldn't help but think that these rules ain't gonna last long lol.

hey Levers come on can't you and I be buddies ? People can and have commented on other peoples driving abilities and i've never said a word...hell I know a Turbo driver from New York that stinks, can't do the same thing twice and couldn't hit the tree for his life but that doesn't make him a bad person. Feel free to express opinons anytime...but if you make allegations about a man having "bad business practices" then you should stand behind the statement. This does not apply to you dear sir but just wanted to clear the air. When can we have a drink together ? I'll be at Gainsville for the first GSA Pro Mod Race as a spectator begging for a seat in something, anything !

I think he was more mad about personal jabs, and swear words. I could be wrong though.

You can't blame accidents on the race track when there are cars just as fast running before and after you down the same lanes.. OR, when you get into a car that one of your drivers was setting records in and then stuff it in a wall.

Dave....I hear ya.....Not bashing ya....Just having some fun!!!

Its like dating a stripper and then when you take her home you ask for a dance and she gets mad that you asked her.....Not cursing on YellowBullet does not sound right.

I like this forum....Alot more real racing minds in this section then looking at someone mom getting gang banged all day long.

I read the article and then read it again. Not like the NOS guys Or Blown guys have never said anything. He has a right to voice his opinion and without him there probably would not be NHRA promod. I do not see anyone else here ponying up the CASH to sponsor the class. As for Jim Geese who cares Burgess is paying him and has no obligation to anyone for what the man did in the past. When you have his bank account you can make the calls.

I recall you posting that Jim told you " when I get back on my feet I will square up with you " seems he's had a steady job for close to two years and has made no attempt to " square up ". For this very reason I have lost all respect for Jim Geese. Jim has no intentions of correcting the past and I look forward to the day Roger shows him the door. It will eventually happen..

BEETLE J---ACTUALLY , JIM geese made that statement to the general yellow bullet members--Racing Duallie? GEESE has not said one word to me, even when we were close enough to spit ,--- at the bankruptcy hearings . Well yeh, there was one slightly noisy exchange at the first cred. meeting. No matter ,-- there never was any intention to pay back--just leave town. He's toast. Takes Time.

for the guys that talk about Rogers business practices, I can promise you that you will find a majority and probably 90% plus multi million or billionairs that have screwed many people over along the way and they chalk that up to "just business" and they wake up each morning not thinking about it one bit. I hope one day if I ever make it to that level I didn't do it at anyone else expense because my father taught me better than that.

I totally agree with Joe, Jim can and should make it right with everyone he screwed over by at least offering free labor to finish the cars and I'm sure Roger would agree to that if he is any kind of business man at all.

Bill ----I disagree that successful business owners "screw over" many people along the way. Jim GEESE ,THE EXCEPTION, is a failed business owner, due to his core values . Mr. Burgess could write a good book about business and values , and people that try to chop him up for hiring j. geese. ---and for wrecking some cars that HE PAID FOR! HE is a good man. - Joe Lemma PS.--AT LEAST OFFER "FREE" LABOR ? Jim Geese? ? I PAID $152,000.00 TO geese, and $$,$$$. to lawyers. ALSO --this worse deal of my life started May 2007, ---- Feb.2012 now and more to go. The"JIM GEESE IS TOAST PROJECT " is on track

Dave, any idea if NHRA gave the blower cars back 20% what the cost would be to each team? I have always been told it's not just as simple as changing pulleys.. Any idea if it requires a new blower or not? If it requires a new blower what do they do with the old 15% stuff?

I honestly can't say what it would cost blower teams to convert back to 20%...at a minimum it would require a new set of pulleys and a tune-up change. I'm sure most GSA teams have the 20% tune-up. My reasoning behind the 20% suggestion is this: in 2010 the blower guys were running very close to what the 2011 turbo cars were running...I feel giving the blower guys 20%, adding the 50lbs to the turbo cars (which is the case now) and reducing Nitrous weights by 50lbs would give us a solid 5.82 - 5.90 class but more important I feel under these circumstances any power adder would have the ability to win on any given Sunday.

Hello Dave , The Yellow Bullet member "B D COOMBS" , posted the best information about jim geese and the sale of assets (concealed from bankruptcy list) , ON PAGE 10 of "VANISHING POINT RACE CARS / VANISHING JIM Geese" .Thanks for your good intentions and effort , but Don't waste your time. Geese will never correct any problems he caused, or volunteer to pay anything. Note that I never indicated that Mr. Burgess has even 1% of responsibility for his employee's history and never thought that he should bother himself with it.----ALSO,-- I traded "hope & prayer" for " Cash & Lawyers" Joe Lemma

Seems to me, Burgess is doing nothing out of the ordinary for a guy running a turbo car. Maybe he see's it as protecting his home turf.
The rules argument remains a constant merry-go-round and likely always will be. Once you have passion, work, money and ego all tied up in a particular combination, every sanctioning body is out to get YOU. Go back a few years when the nitrous cars weren't that competitive & the blowers were darn near winning everything. When the nitrous racers wanted blower restrictions to even things up, they were told: No way! "Go to work on your combo". And for the majority of those who did, the cost of the change was at least $100K for a new 5.2" OR 5.3" borespace engine program.

I kind'a find it a tiny bit humorous that the blower contingent wants changes in the rules, because it appears they aren't dominant right now. However, the real can of worms lies within the hairdryer contingent.
Trying to mix 3 different power adders and make them each competitive all year long, is almost attempting the insane.

Several years ago when the blowers got hit with less O.D several of the NE based teams pooled together and put 200 plus dyno pulls on new combo's and one team made 60 runs before the first race.That's how they got faster they did not cry .The insanity is in the whole process.There is always going to be someone that has a 55 gallon drum of cash to spend and others that will follow and it just gets crazier every year.
