I have a fuji 2650 that is several years old but still works great. I can't seem to bring up the files from the camera on my computer. I don't have the disk that came with the camera anymore. I shouldn't need it right? As soon as I plug the usb cable in it should have a menu of "what to do" come up I'd think. I also have clicked "my computer" and clicked removable disk (E:). It says to "insert disk into drive (E:)". What gives?

did you turn on the camera when you plugged it into the PC?

Go to fuji's site and down load the program you need.

Had the exact same issue with another digital (Sony miniCD), Lost the drivers when I lost "InCD" during a Nero install. Not sure that's the issue, but if you have a computer running "inCD" give that a try and see if it resolves anything.

It's has a card but it doesn't fit into my computer if I take it out. My computer has several size options and I have the one that doesn't fit.

When I go to the site all I can find is the updaters for the program.

What is "INCD"?

I know enough about computer language to be dangerous, but.... as I under stand it. INCD was a packet writing format/software (something like that) for CD's and I think it also was used for the first USB memory chips. A lot of hardware expected INCD before NERO and WIN XP took over the external mermory writing duties. I would download the Sony USB driver over and over, but without INCD it was useless.

Did you download Nero or a new CD/DVD drive when the comunication problem with your camera started? Or is it just a new computer and the old software disk is lost?

BTW, here is a site that says it offers a free driver for WIN XP and the 2650

Marv, thank you for the info. I can't seem to make the free driver site work without giving them a credit card #. It says free for 30 days but then they get you I think. I have an old computer that I used a recovery cd on about 1 1/2 years ago. I lost some of my programs and now it doesn't recognize the camera. I just put a disk in the cd/dvd rom and it won't read it either. I have pictures on the disk. It will play audio cd's though.

I tried to install a free download of nero but at the end it needed a serial # that I don't have. Not sure what to do now.

I also went to the fuji site and found nothing to work.

I would love a cannon. I don't really know much about cameras but they look nice. LOL!

I've tried for days now and can't figure this thing out. I ended up getting the program installed and still nothing. Went to Best Buy today and it was wiped out from Christmas shopping. They hardly had anything. No card reader for this disk. I don't know what to do now.

If you get a new camera, just do your reasearch, but you cant really go wrong with a Canon Rebel or Nikon D60-90 kits, if you just want to take some good pictures with out going all nutz with buying alot of equipment.
