I have an Olds 455 that has been converted to EFI with Accel injectors and an Accel TPI style throttle body. Car is for street/strip but I dont plan to race alot so I dont need something with all the bells and whistles. What would be a good DFI system to use to control the fuel and timing? Anything to avoid?

Accels Gen7 DFI works great. They offer a Dual sync distbutor that makes the system sequential. The system allows you to input youe engine specs then builds a base fuel map as a starting point to get started. It's my understanding that the latest version will allow the option to use any aftermarket wide band O2 sensor kits.
