No where in the rules does it say 10.5W tires. They must be 30x10.5 tires and yes you can run wheelie bars.

Billy's car is a back halved 4-link car, which wouldnt be legal.

Dont anybody tell Billy, That black mustang may make a return!

I dont consider wheelie bars being sissy!!! We have had plenty of crushed oil pans and headers. Its more of insurance than anything to us. Its also good for the track not to have to clean up destroyed parts. We got a nice set of wheelie bars that will be put to good use. We still gona run no wheelie bar classes also and burn her ass down! NOS SB!!!!:-D:-D

I can say one thing... If there is ever a class that the drivers put in their input, I would say it would be this class... haha

It's tough to write a set of rules that is fair, competitive, and try not to make everyone spend too much...

But at least I knew where everyone stood.

There are certain things I didnt want to allow (hood scoops, towing to lanes, etc..) And those racers just need to make the adjustments or respect my feelings on those topics.

I hope to see a bunch of fast cars next year, and good luck with the changes this winter and we will see you all next year! Happy Holidays!

Jason,

For the exhaust rule, does the exhaust system still need to extend beyond the leading edge of the driver's door?...have a set of bullets waiting to go on. Thanks, Calvin

No it doesnt have to extend that far anymore.

Jason, I think you need to reconsider the torque arm on cars that didn't come with them. You know its a stock suspension class.

I don't remember the issue coming up but I guess it was ok to have a Torque Arm on a Mustang last year

Rules are official and they arent changing. I was unaware of any Mustangs with torque arms last year.

Was it illegal last year to have a Torque Arm on any car other than ones that came from the factory with one?

Thats correct, it would have been illegal.

sorry I did'nt know that ......I appologize but from what i read in the rule book it didnt say anything about it ... I have had it on the car since 2005.

I am not hiding it ..... I never hid it ....mostly everyone we raced with who asked or looked under the car knew i had one.

This had never been an issue prior to the "secret tech official"

If i cheated .....my bad ..it was not intentional

Good Luck in 2009 im sure it will be a great show

I cheated last year as well. :smt089 I didn't know that sheet metal intakes were a NO-NO! :smt102

I don't think either of you cheated, but if you are going to make Rules and want everyone to abide by them the TECH needs to be more than someone just coming and placing a sticker on your windshield.

Jason Miller

I dont think anyone cheated on purpose last year. All of you guys have good integrity. You are right in the sense that we need to start looking at more items, deck heights, suspension, etc...
