this forum has been pretty dead considering all the hype it started with, not sturrin the pot here but st thomas is still in shambles..yes they got a new timing system, and replaced a couple of light bulbs in the towers, but is it actually gunna be ready for the big weekend? i understand thing take money and time, but dont you think the promoters of this just have a lil too much on there plate? i am just saying from the promises that were said from when this first happened to what is has been said now, when this whole idea came out it was for new timing system, new stands, new return road, over all just basically improving the track, its is now almost the end of june, the stands arent done, the timing system is running correct, there is now way in hell the bathrooms can handle the capacity of the crown of the old ww events, which the number grows each year, the bathrooms are gunna end up like a bad night at harpos, lets see how much urine our nike's can soak up. and before anyone says it portajohns aint the answer, let alone were are all the spectators gunna park? on the side of the road? this isnt a bash just some questions..... it just seemed to start out as the cats ass and now has cooled off and now is just another day!

Zeke can't do it by himself and St. Thomas is trying to step it up, remember what that track has been through. Maybe they are baby steps but they are trying.
It seems to me that it is time for all the supporters of this event to step up and help out. Everyone was all on board for another event, and let their buddy take all the hits, now where are you all?

I've been trying to get ahold of Keith. There is a group of us that will be going down to St.Thomas over the next few weeks to help out in the reshaping of the track. Instead of running everything down, you should find out when we are going and join in the efforts. Seems to me that you frequently go to this track since you know so much about it . I would think that you would want to be a part of the rebuild! As far as your questions go, i'm sure Keith will answer all of them as soon as he can. He may be out of town for work? If we all get together and pitch in .. instead of bitching about what isn't done, we could have it in shape in no time!! This isn't a 1 man or couple guy's effort .we all need to do our part to keep 1 of the best tracks around...By the way, you'll never see another track build in Ontario so we need to do everything possible to keep the one's we have !!

Holly cow sittinlow are you kidding me your not trying to stir the pot but all you do is complain  first let me say I DO have alot on my plate but yet I still put a large amount of time, effort and yes even my own money into this event and I won't get paid a penny, have you every thought about why this is being done? I'll let you in on a little secret because it's the way it should have been done from the start to help out everyone not one or two and make everything fair and fun for everyone including YOU!

You say the track is still in shambles obviously you haven't been up there in the last two to three weeks because I have been to GB and St Thomas on back to back weeks and I can tell you that St T was much cleaner and nicer that GB, you keep saying the washrooms won't hold everyone your right thats why we will have porta johns just like GB there is no way around having them and we should have a washroom trailer for the spectator side and we are looking for a shower trailer not that we need it but it would be better for everyone remember GB has 8 showers and St T has 4 yes it's half but very doable, and if you read the other post you would have seen I posted that the stands have the new wood up and mounted on the bottom half and all the wood removed and the new boards cut and drilled on the top half but because they cleaned out all the local hardware stores of carriage bolts they should all be done this week maybe even painted or are you going to complain about that too?

Spectator parking are you kidding me? I know you are new to this stuff and haven't been to many races so why don't you ask some old timers that have been around the block and ask them how many people can fit in St T I'll give you a hint it's over what we need ask them about the Can Am national that was a huge deal it looked like the Mopar nat's at GB I have seen ariel views and it's crazy, go ask Mathers to see the pictures in his office next time your up let me tell you you won't have any more questions about how we are goin to fit everyone.

And yes it's the end of June three months into the season and lots has been done and guess what we still have two and half to go everything we need is either done or getting done beleive me if anyone should be worried it should be me I'm the one on the hook for the track rental not you and after going up last week I'm very confident we will have no problems with the track.

As for the hype we started out with it's not hype it's the fact's we made not one promise we couldn't or wouldn't keep, let's see all the money goes to the racers ALL OF IT not just 100% of the tech cards for that class but 100% of everything that should be in the range of 3 to 4 times previous payouts and remember this is a 100% payout based on everything so the more racers and spectators the more money if everyone from last year showed it could eazily pay as much as $100,000 or more, if you can do better let me know I'll be there myself, racers vote on there own rules- can't get any better than that, ATLEAST one racer will get a brand new $3400 trailer and we will have all the fastest cars with all the old heads up classes your use to and we will have a tonne of fun doing it all nothing has changed as a matter of fact it has gottin better MUCH BETTER but that will have to wait till everything is signed and finalized.

I hope you don't think I'm picking on you I'm not I'm just sick of all the romours and stories some might have been true a few weeks ago but not now and some are just straight out bull sh#@ but I don't want or expect you or anyone else to beleive me I want you to go to the track and see for yourself and while your up there talk to Dave and see what he says and ask to see the pictures of the CanAm nats and then tell me what you think, don't listen to your brothers buddys ant that heard it from someone they work with SEE FOR YOURSELF

Things are being done Mathers is doing his part I'm doing mine and all I ask is everyone (racers/spectators) do theres and thats to give this a fair chance and choose an event that is best for you, the sport, your group and friends and not on who has the most showers or the brightest bulbs on the scrore board.
