I saw the original one (with subtitles), I have not seen the new "tamed down" version. being a guy that grew up with Freddie Kruger & Full Metal Jacket & all of those other Blood & Guts movies, it was not that big a deal to me. I dont think though that my wife would feel the same about it & for sure I would not show it to my 6 & 8 year old boys.

It was a bit intense & I thought it was well done. the story was well................. a good one, & the ending is the best part 8) . I thought it a bit predictable though, it seemed that through the entire movie I knew what was coming next. ROFLOL.

LOL That's a good one Bob.

I guess I'm a little disappointed that they didn't show the best part though.

The Resurrection... because without that, the rest is just some guy getting crucified.

I agree, but I suppose they were saving that for the sequel (the passion II, "the resurection", or "Thomas gets a finger full") in all fairness, there was 13 seconds dedicated to the resurection, after all that time sitting watching the rest of the movie, it was enough for one sitting. LOL.

Not sure if I should be sad :( or mad :x or what... the movie is intense. It let's us know exactly what He went through to save us.

We saw it in the theater and now have it on CD. When the movies was over, folks just filed out of the theater. There was almost no talking. I think they may have been in shock.

Chris rent the CD, grab your wife and babies, curl up on the coach and watch what He did for us... as a Christian you'll never be the same, I guarantee it.

Blessings,
Mark
