Hi Zeke
Hope you don't want a time slip on Sat.
And you know I wouldn't say anything without an "experience" this year already to back it up. In fact, hope none of your party wants to sit while they watch you race.
I sure hope they start pulling it together for you soon.
Wish you were heading to Grand Bend, I would get to meet you in person finally.
And in case you are wondering, got the intake. It was the safest route. But it is not on the car yet. And go figure, he needs new tires and rims now?!?! It just NEVER stops with you guys!!!!!!!!!
See ya around

I hear you princess things need to get into high gear but just for the record the timing system is new and yes they are having some problems they will be worked out if they are not already, and I was in Grand Bend last week guess what they had timing problems as well and had to rerun a few races and the track was the worst I have ever seen it I'm not sure why it is ussually very good hope its not a sign of things to come

Hi 1badmach
Hopefully we are just racing!! Fixing means its broke already!! We aren't able to leave until after noon but thanks for the invite. It would be a blast to have the track to yourself to go as many times as you want. Good luck, and see you there- we have a beautiful gold camaro with an big, ugly black hood on it......don't ask.
Zeke
Geez, not up there too!!! I will let you know honestly what happens this weekend. Timer and track condition. And I know that the track in Grand Bend can get slippy because our car got squirelly last year later in the evening. And it is not even close to the speed of your car so....
As for the timer system. Yes, some of the system is new-but it is connected to the same old parts- seems problematic to me.
Now, I see you have designed a new ejector type part for your car. Any chance it works on hoods?....with large cowls in them?
I see you have the same tendancy to error when it comes to choice in hoods. Too bad!! Here, all this time, I thought you might be different!!!!!

I hear what you're saying. It can be very frustrating waiting on parts. Especially when you know you still have to install them. Unfortunately sometimes things beyond the buisiness owner's control! If their supplier doesn't come through on their end, shit all just starts to roll down hill. Sounds like it was just your day unfortunately ! Like i said talk to them and i'm sure they'll do what they can for you ! Trust me they're not making you wait on parts on purpose!!

The car hooked well. No spinning at all. (thanks no spray) I will not be tuning the chassis as it went arrow straight with minimal front end lift. Off the trailer it went 11.015@123.60mph and it felt like a 13 sec run(very uneventfull). I think I will need to go to my 4.57 gear(currently a 3.73) to get the 60' time better (currently 1.66) as this is what Brian told me. I could not get the rpm over 5000 through the traps as I would like to go through at 6800-7100 rpm. Out of the 8 or so runs all were between 11.015 and 11.180 and were @122-124mph. All of the 1/8 mph's were 100 point something. The whole weekend was done with out turning a wrench on the car. I think the car would have went 10.99 if it were not so friggin hot. It was alot of FUN and more people should have been there.

Sounds like it would like more gear but what is the convertor stall? and you have a 700r right with a 3.10 or 3.20 first gear not sure I bet it would respond better to a bigger convertor than a rear gear.
Sounds like everything went good for you glade to hear it

I already own a gear and the budget doesn't allow for a new converter. Anyhow the converter is a 2200-2400 from World Wide and is a lock-up unit. For now I will just enjoy drivin the car and leave the racing for next year or later in the summer.
Good luck with your new? monster those were great numbers that I read in another post.
Have fun thats what it is all about.

Thanks things are coming along but I have been fighting a 60' problem for years and have learned a few things and I can tell you that while a 4.56 will get you into the rpm range you want in the traps and is probably a good idea I think most of your problem is in the convertor you will need a 3500 to 4000 to get that thing to fly, remember you mutiply your first gear times the rear gear to get a total in each gear so while your thinking a 4.56 is right and since you have a back half it probably is you must realize most use a 4.56 with a 2.48 or 2.75 first gear giving them a 11.30 or 12.54 total because of your big first gear you already have a 11.56 total if you go to a 4.56 you will have a 14.13 and that is a big jump from what you have now and you will go back to haveing trouble hooking, it can be done don't get me wrong but you will need to work at it a little, if you get a bigger stall I think it would be better for you all around.

You're welcome Kevin. I was happy to see your "BUG" fly. That's a very impressive "STREET CAR" !! Good luck with it the rest of the summer! I'm sure 10's are just around the corner.
