yea it sucks wondering what made it through the year. luckily the big 10pt I've been chasing for the last 3 years is still alive. I go some great video of him wednesday night. I've only seen him in daylight 3 times in 3 years. that's why I can't kill the damn thing. he usually doesn't show his face till 2 or 3 hours after sunset. he will score in the 150's which is pretty big for around here.

Man those are some nice looking deer. I bet you aren't seeing them because they are all but nocturnal right now. Wait until the rut gets in full swing and hunt where the does are. Were these photos made in TX? They just look a lot like TX deer is the only reason I ask.

Yes, Texas. These are likely hanging on someones wall by now. The pictures are from 2007.

I wouldn't mind going back to TX on another hunting trip if I was seeing deer like that but my trip was not what they were advertising at all. I was guaranteed a 130 class and it was supposed to be a "guided" trip complete with meals and lodgine. When I got there, they said the lodge was full (I never saw the "lodge") and then they said here is 12k acres you can hunt and good luck. I felt I was really lucky to take a 140 class 8 point on the last day right at dark. With the exception of one other deer, that was the best buck that I saw all week. The other really good deer I saw looked very similar to the big 10 you have photos of but it also had two 8-10" drop tines as well. I saw him on the very first day but he was a good 1/4 mile from the box stand I was sitting in. I decided to hunt closer to the area that I saw him the rest of the week and never saw anything better than 120-130 class 8 and 10's. The deer I ended up taking was a really nice 8 similar to the one you have photos of and he was a little over 20" wide. I have him and one I took on my place mounted side by side and unless I told you which one came from TX you would never know. The TX deer cost me several grand and the other one cost whatever I spent loading the 7mm STW round in my workshop.:p My best buck so far here in GA has been a 168 class and I would love to improve on that. It looks like your area has some really good genetics and I'm sure it's only a matter of time before you get your chance at one of these trophies. Good Luck and I hope it is sooner rather than later.
