I just got my new PT3000 intercooler.I am looking for opinions on the beat way to locate and mount this thing. I plan to mount it in the back seat. Is there a certain way it needs to be located inorder for the optimun cooling? What is the best way to securely mount it in the car , incase of a wreck? Does anyone have photos of there installation?
Thanks
EWW

Hi Eddie,
I'm away on vacation right now, I'll try and get you some pics of my installation when I get a chance. My fabricator welded three mountings plate consisting of four bolts mounting my intercooler in there. The most important aspect of cooling the air with those units is getting sufficient water flow through the intercooler (to the tune of 60 gpm if possible). Mine is mounted in my back seat area. These are my unofficial answers:)
Thanks,
Brian

Trying to post some pics of my intercooler mounting.
My adivce would be to make sure it is very secure. Those things are very heavy and could do some damage if it broke free in the event of a crash. Can you build something of the roll cage?
