Take your Timken Brng #'s for your 9", and go to Car Quest Auto Parts... They have most of 'em on the shelf [Timken Brngs in a Car Quest Box] for about half the price of the Brng Distributors....
Wow... I didnt know this...

On average differential bearings and races are $28.00 for the pair. How much are they at Car Quest for the set?

They were $36.00... But they were $76.00 from the Brng store..
Where'd you get 'em for that price? Are you sure they were Timkens?

Since this is a bearing topic, who sells ceramic bearings for rear ends?

Used to work at DTS in Warren and I have an account there. I use Timken bearings only, not a fan of Koyo or BSA.

My guess would be Mark Williams. I haven't even came across anything ceramic yet.

feet first, I saw an add in the last (or so) issue of Nat. Dragster for ceramic bearings, near the rear of the mag. I think. I'll look and if I see it again I'll let you know.

feet first, found it! 520-466-9176, www.performancebearing.com The ad doesn't specify rear end bearings, but a testimonial letter in the ad says he picked up 2 mph that he credits to "using ceramic bearings throughout his race car". Hope it helps.
