Luke,
I have attached the Product overview and the Instruction PDF for the MSD-8982. Like with all MSD Retard systems, a Retard Wire must be attached to the Nitrous Solenoids. I usually just tie the Nitrous Solenoid wire and the MSD Retard wire together at the Nitrous Solenoid Relay (Two Wires in one Pin).
I hope this helps,
Sparky

The progressive controller has an activation input, correct? Like from the WOT switch? You could use the retard box connected to that trigger, that doesn't pulse, to have a constant amount of timing pulled.
Though would a progressive retard work best here? Taking away more timing as the level of nitrous injected goes up, to optimize overall power output?

yes you arm it then power to a wot switch to activate it
how would you progress the timing
thanks luke

Through a programmable ignition, or timing computer.
Looks like the trigger for your retard, should come off the WOT switch, since this will not pulse the retard box, and hold the retard on for as long as you are at WOT.

i still dont think that will work because you have to unground it not feed 12v
thats what makes me confused in how to wire it to work with the controller
thanks luke

Ok, you have to add a relay in there, I use relays often, it's second nature to me, so I sometimes assume that it is for other people, my bad.
You use the 12V from your WOT switch (which BTW I usually run ground through the WOT switch), to the coil on the relay , which will turn it on, then on the switch side, you'll be switching a ground source on and off.
