Have any of you had any experience with the Currie posi carriers? I didn't even know they were making their own until I saw them on Summit's site. I was honestly surprised that the Currie unit was about $100 cheaper than the Eaton or Auburn. I know the Auburn is a good unit, just looking for some opinions from anyone who may have used some different brands. This car is a stock street ride, and will probably never see the high side of 500HP or have a set of slicks on it.

I went to Summit's site and couldn't find the posi unit you are looking at. Can you post up a link? I'm thinking it's a Trac-loc unit and they do hold up well and are rebuildable. A Truetrac would be a good unit since they are preloaded and good for 700hp.

I have not seen the Currie either? Although anytime you see something "cheaper" in the High=performance market..that's usaually exactly what it is.....Quality is always the best bet.
Currie may not be even making it..just stamping their name on the box.

They also offer one that's a "Trac-Loc" version, which seems to be based on the OE design, but with tougher nodular iron.

Like I said earlier, they might be fine, but I have no experience with them. Currie has a pretty good rep as far as I know. I guess the price difference is what surprises me, their stuff is usually on the pricey side.
This car is a stock 69 Mustang Mach 1, so I doubt it's going to have enough power to break a new unit. I raced Turbo Buicks with the 8.5" GM diff for so long that I'm not used to having all these choices, LOL.

You got that right, I had one of their 9 inch center sections come thru my shop and a pinion support from Ford Motor Sport would not work. I had to order Currie's import POS.
