Finally going to move the battery to the trunk and don't want to do it 2 or 3 times like I seem to do everything else on the car. What is recommended for battery cable? Brand?

I had to redo my 1st effort due to voltage drop and poor charging.
I Presently run a 2/0 HD Welding cable from the battery to my main power supply, And a 8 GA. wire from the alternator back to the switched side of the battery. (I tin'd all the wire ends before making final connections)
I run the MSD 7AL-2, MSD Multi step timing retard, Deadenbear RPM Shifter, Mallory Comp 250 fuel pump, Electric water pump, dual fans, etc. Not only did the voltage problems go away, the car was more consistant.
Hope this helps.

Here is a link to a short blurp on wire sizing: http://www.svapowerproducts.com/html/wire_sizing.html
About half way down is a link to a wire sizing chart that is colored, from there you can go to a B/W that is easier to read.
For a gear reduction starter you are going to need wire capable of around 200amps (it will start at 500amps and then drop down to around 200amps). You don't necessarily need your starter feed cable to have a really, really, low voltage drop.
Typically we use 1/0 cable with little problems, i.e. near .6/1.0 voltage drop. 2/0 would be better, as would 3/0. (there is always going to be some drop, you just want to limit it) But then you are getting both expensive and heavy. (If weight is concerned, guessing but a 12foot 3/0 cable is probably 5lbs heavier than a 1/0) . Depending on car layout it is sometimes easier to break the ground instead of the positive.
On the alternator side of things we usually ended up with 4ga for loads to around 100amps, and 1/0 again for 150amp loads.
Sparky makes good wires, as well as I do.
