currently have a nitrous car that goes high 1.20's low 1.30's on slicks. typical leave is a 200-300 shot as soon as I let the transbrake fly. Can I do the same with a radial? Car runs low nines, for now, but will run into the eights once get a handle on the nitrous and start pulling fuel and so on. Thanks John

what kind of car is it
if you put 300 shot on a G Body car right off the brake you would stand it on the bumper

we put a digeset timer on the nitriuos to delay the hit about 3 to 6 tenths

well some times we delay the hit (Right grove )

not all the time:) I got plenty of smashed parts to prove it !!i'm thinking about a progressive control or a digtal 7 msd and pulling a bunch of timing to keep the whell stand down
btw my avatar is with a 275 hit and 3 10ths delay on the nos

Radials have a stiff side wall so the don't cushion the initial blow like a slick does, some what harder on parts and car will react faster.. Most guys pick up on the 60ft with radials once they get them to work for them. If your car is doing fine on slicks now (not standing it up) you should be ok on radials, There are many ways to tame the wheelie, Suspention adjustments, timing retard, nitrous tricks, delay the hit etc.

Typical stock suspended mustang I have baseline suspension uppers, wolfracecraft lowers, and wolf anti roll bar. The front is setup with 12" 175 springs 90/10 struts and front has springs with almost no "coiled energy" or fully extended. Setup this way the car barely pulls the fronts and for the most part just is easy to drive. I was told I may need to put a 130 or 150 spring on the front to help with some weight transfer just not sure yet.
