What spline are the axles? 33 or 30? 33 will definetly get you into the 8 second zone, just watch out on drag radials. If you chatter the tires you will twist them.

Not sure on the slpines. Im going to have to pull the rear to get the cover off, the allen bolts are RTV'd in.......... :(
On ET streets right now but if I go to DR's I will most likley to go a narrowed Fab 9

You will save some weight if you go with some nice aluminum pieces with a 9 inch.

Im sure Ill save quite a bit :)
Going to tear into it and make a decision then.
Ive been told I want to stay away from an aluminum center section with the kind of power I will be shocking the rear end with.

With a good aftermarket aluminum center section like the Moser thru bolt or Mark Williams, I wouldn't worry about case deflection. They have been proven way past 2000 hp.

Decided to go with a molly Fab 9 since I am going to have to go narrow now.
Whats one of these worth, low miles, at least 30 spline axles? I have no idea. I found out from the guy that built the car that they are at least 30.
Also have an aluminum summers brothers driveshaft, any idea on a value for it? Looks like its 3 inches round.

Found out a magnet sticks to the driveshaft so its either MS or molly.... Its super light so I assume molly.

On Ebay you can get between $200-$300 for a good shaft. Get the center to center length and which trans it fits info.

Any way to tell if its molly or not with it being painted?
I e-mailed summers brothers with some part numbers asking what was in the rear and never got an e-mail back.....
Guess I will have to tear into it.

Summers never got back to me. I found out though that its a 14 bolt, not a 12. Never payed any attention.... no wonder its heavy.... at least 250 pounds....
