I went to the track, and I was one of the first people there. I made one of the first passes of any car today, and there was a lot of VHT. When I left, the car hooked dead up and pulled the tires about 14 inches off the ground (according to buddy on the side). When I went back later, the car wasnt hooking as hard, and she was spinning and unloading, or barely popping up and not leaving as hard. This is a leaf spring cars with slappers. This car has a manual tranny. Should I be adding more gap between the snubber and the spring to get the traction to come back. I only got a couple passes, and didnt get to try much. I dropped the tire pressure from 14psi to 11.75 psi, but it didnt get her back to the performance of the very first pass.
