This year Outlaw Street Madness is going to do something special. I have decided to honor two very important positions that I feel should be recognized.
First is our Rookie of the Year. This honor will go to the person who has shown a willingness to do the best they can and who has put forth tremendous effort in their racing program with OSM. Often times newcomers don’t feel a part of the overall “team” and I think by recognizing their emerging talent, we can let them know that they do matter to us!
Secondly, I would like to introduce the Chad Bibb Sportsman of the Year award. This honor is in memory of Chad Bibb, one of my dearest friends who passed away several years ago. Chad was always there for me through good times and bad. His morals and character were unwavering. He was a friend to everyone, and knew how to enjoy life. I cannot think of a better person for this award to be named in honor of. The person who is chosen for this award will possess the same characteristics of good sportsmanship and conduct throughout the season.
How the nominations will work:
Send in the name of the person you wish to nominate for each category in an email to kelly@outlawstreetmadness.com (kelly@outlawstreetmadness.com) or via the contact page and title your email “2008 Nominees” to avoid mail getting into the spam folder. This is the only way nominees will be considered. No phone calls or posts please. If a post is started it will be deleted to avoid confusion. Nominations for both categories will close on September 30th. We will then pick three names for each category and post those names. Two polls will be created in our forums with each of the three names. Voting will be open for two weeks after the polls are open. Each person can only vote once per poll, and yes you are able to vote for yourself if you have been chosen. The polls will be private, i.e. no one will be able to see the results other than myself. You will need to sign up on our forums to be able to vote. I will announce the winners at the party later this year. The winners will receive a jacket and plaque.
